Should you worry about cybercriminals?

What is the risk of identity theft for the deceased?  There is a good deal of data to suggest that this is a vulnerability that is far greater than we realize.

A study from Id: Analytics - Study from ID Analytics’ ID:A Labs reveals that online thieves can easily use public information to apply for credit cards and social security benefits of the deceased:

“The identities of approximately 2.5 million deceased Americans are used improperly to apply for credit products and services each year, according to a new study released today from ID Analytics’ ID:A Labs.”
